Summary
The EcoBeautyScore Association is a not-for-profit organisation that helps consumers make more informed, sustainable choices when buying cosmetics and personal care products. It created the first industry-wide environmental scoring framework, based on a science-driven methodology aligned with the EU’s Product Environmental Footprint, to assess a product’s full lifecycle impact. The system assigns an A to E score that brands can use to transparently communicate environmental performance, encouraging progress and comparability across the beauty sector. It was developed in collaboration with over 70 global industry partners.
