DREV AB

Summary

DREV AB is a Swedish cleantech company developing advanced contamination-control and material-recovery systems for battery gigafactories, recycling plants, and high-precision industrial environments. Its flagship solution, the Vault system, uses a patented dry-brush technology that removes hazardous “black dust” without water or chemicals. This prevents airborne contamination, improves worker safety, and enables recovery of valuable materials such as lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite, and copper. The system integrates embedded sensors and analytics to monitor contamination loads, filter life, and cleaning performance, supporting traceability and environmental reporting. With strong support from European innovation ecosystems and €2.8 million in seed funding, DREV is positioned to help industrial operators transition toward safer, circular, and resource-efficient manufacturing processes.

Dry-Cleaning and Hazardous-Dust Recovery System for Industrial Environments
Waste Management & Recycling
The Vault system by DREV AB is an industrial contamination-control and resource-recovery technology designed for battery gigafactories, recycling plants, and high-precision manufacturing environments. Using a patented dry-brush mechanism, Vault removes hazardous “black dust”, metal microparticles, and fine contaminants from equipment, PPE, and surfaces without using water or chemicals. The system captures valuable materials such as lithium, nickel, cobalt, graphite, and copper, enabling circular-economy recovery rather than waste generation. Embedded sensors monitor cleaning performance, dust load, filter saturation, and workflow safety, feeding data into an IoT-enabled dashboard for operational oversight. Vault improves worker safety, reduces downtime, prevents contamination events, and contributes to resource efficiency and material recovery in sectors expanding rapidly due to electrification.
