Core Features
Askor applies product life-cycle assessment as a repeatable, portfolio-friendly process: teams build product models using recognised LCA standards and methodology with established background data such as ecoinvent. Some of its main features are:
ISO-aligned product LCA for identifying hotspots, with traceability and auditability baked into the workflow.
Quick comparison for eco-design to compare versions and spot improvement levers during design iterations.
Industry modules and starter models covering multiple sectors, including tailored datasets and prebuilt model sets for specific industries (e.g., visual communication examples).
BOM import and system integration including automatic BOM imports and connections to PLM, ERP and PIM environments for scaling across product ranges.
Environmental labelling readiness including support for French and European labelling methods (e.g., textile labelling, PEFCR Apparel & Footwear, agri-food, and medicine carbon-footprint methodology).
Social footprint and CSRD inputs to quantify social impacts and feed CSRD double materiality and reporting work from product-level results.
Closing Insights
Askor grew out of EVEA’s eco-design and LCA practice. EVEA was founded in Nantes in 2005 by Jean-Baptiste Puyou and later adopted a cooperative (SCOP) structure, while continuing to combine consulting, training, and software tools. That mix carries into Askor: a SaaS platform plus sector datasets, backed by specialist consultants for methodological support. Askor differs from corporate carbon accounting tools by starting at the product model: it runs ISO 14040/44 and ISO 14067-aligned LCAs and can feed results into Scope 3 work, rather than replacing a GHG inventory. It also supports European PEF methodology for clients needing reviewable results.
Deployments include FESPA France’s rollout to its members and the C3R Impact collaboration with IPC/CT-IPC for plastics and composites. In 2024, EVEA announced Askor’s listing on the ecoinvent website; a FESPA case study references ecoinvent 3.11 and a “Quick Comparator” for comparing versions. Askor connects with PLM, ERP, and PIM systems.
